Against the backdrop of the expanding discussion in Israel on national resilience, there is growing recognition that scientific and technological capabilities, particularly in the field of artificial intelligence, constitute a significant component of the country’s resilience and its ability to address long-term challenges.

This document presents data collected, developed, and processed by the Samuel Neaman Institute as part of a dedicated dashboard for monitoring trends in artificial intelligence in Israel:
https://www.neaman.org.il/en/data/ai/

The dashboard combines up-to-date data on demand for AI-related expertise with complementary indicators related to academic training, research, patents, start-ups, and human capital.

The document focuses on the first year of monitoring, which began in June 2025, and examines the characteristics of demand for AI specialists in Israel alongside indications of the future supply of human capital in the field. The findings point to significant activity in Israel’s labor market and AI ecosystem, while also highlighting the need for continued systematic monitoring of trends in demand, training, and research. Such monitoring can serve as a basis for policy discussion on human capital development, strengthening research infrastructure, and preparing for global competition in the field.
