The personal story of Samuel (Sam) Neaman presented in this book began in the 20’s of the previous century (the twentieth) in Tel Aviv which was then changing from a suburb of Jaffa to a little town. It spans over three decades in Eretz Yisrael, France, Syria, the fronts of the Second World War, England, the Unites States, Canada, Mexico, Latin American countries and more. This is a fantastic life story, at times unbelievable, and yet it happened, and the hero tells it in the first person.

Samuel Neaman lived most of his life outside Eretz Yisrael and Israel where he was born and for which he fought and served for many years. His point of view is, therefore, both internal and external, and while there is much love he does spare his criticism. He has been known in the academic world for tens of years thanks to the Samuel Neaman Institute for Advanced Studies in Science and Technology” located at the Technion in Haifa, which was established in the 70’s thanks to his initiative and to his many years of energetic activity in the American Technion Society.

His autobiographic story, presented in the following pages centers around his Jewish and Zionist activity and for the State of Israel. Other areas in which he was active, such as his amazing broad and successful business activity in Mexico and the United States, are described briefly, in a general way and in different fonts between chapters 13 and 14, and only hint at his many interests and activities.
