The study searched for documentations related to the subject of “Green Aviation” published in professional journals, governments’ and international organizations. After sorting the topics, the study selected the most relevant issues to the State of Israel and the Civil Aviation Administration. The study concentrated primarily on Two main subjects: 1. “Green Aviation” policy in the European Union, United States and the ICAO. 2. Planning, development, operation and maintenance of “Green Airports” around the world. Among the issues that were illustrated: noise, air quality, emissions, energy, water and waste. A short discussion was devoted to the hazardous birds problems around airports.
