Lilach Ayali is a researcher in the education research team at Samuel Neaman Institute and holds a Ph.D. from the Technion. The topic of her thesis is “Mathematical Modeling in Physics and Mathematics Education: Theoretical exploration of conceptualizations”. She holds Bachelor’s and Magister’s degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Technion and possesses extensive experience in VLSI development across various companies. Additionally, she completed a Bachelor’s degree in Education (Mathematics Teaching track, Summa Cum Laude). Lilach has mentored new teachers in the Technion’s high-tech-to-teaching career transition program; led the team responsible for developing and defining the “Research-Based Physics” matriculation subject; initiated and supported the establishment of regional centers and collaborations for high school physics projects; instructed the training of facilitators as inquiry experts; taught five-unit level mathematics; mentored mathematics teachers; and developed instructional materials for both mathematics and physics.
