Einat Heyd-Metzuyanim is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education in Science and Technology at Technion,specializing in mathematics education and the learning sciences. She holds a PhD in Mathematics Education from Haifa University, focusing her scholarly pursuits on meaningful learning and teaching in mathematics classrooms. Over the past decade, she has worked extensively with teachers on improving teaching practices to foster students’ success in mathematics. Widely recognized for her astute research contributions, Heyd-Metzuyanim has published extensively in respected academic journals, shedding light on critical facets of students’ and teachers’ identities, in relation to mathematical practices. Heyd-Metzuyanim has served on the executive board of the PME, the major annual conference in her field, and currently serves on editorial boards of prominent international journals. She has been acknowledged for her academic achievements through numerous awards and invitations to speak at prominent conferences.
