This report reviews the mining and ore processing industry, in order to identify the role of water in the production as well as  water treatment needed in regarding to water use, saving .o the environment/ recyclingving water, he water treatment need water, reuse, recycle and regulated emission to the environment.

This is the second report in the project of reviewing water use and treatment in seven global industrial sectors.

The project goal is to promote business opportunities for Israeli water companies, the purpose of this work is to enhance our understanding of the role of water in the industries of interest, and identify long term business challenges.

This work will be an important part of the infrastructure of Israel Newtech, IEICI (Israel export & international cooperation institute) and the Israeli consulate of economy affairs working plan for the next few years.

In this work we review water usage and treatment for each sector, and identify challenges that are a bottleneck for the growth of each specific sector.

We emphesizedthree major sectors within the mining industry: metal mining, coal mining and phosphate mining.
