Examining the impact of the project to rehabilitate distressed neighborhoods in Israel is a thoughtful, but extremely time-consuming task, due to the difficulty of directly measuring the effect of the project. This work examines language as it is expressed in objective socio-economic variables, measured in the 1972 and 1983 population and housing censuses.

The analysis presented in this work, in stage A, is an aggregated dissociation only. In stage B, the researchers intend to continue the study using data from individual neighborhoods.
