The special situation of the State of Israel presents it with challenges that require a careful assessment of the situation regarding the capabilities and needs in a multi-year vision.<\/p>\n

The purpose of the discussion at the round table was defined: a joint examination of whether it is possible to offer the Israeli government cables<\/p>\n

Recommended policy in this regard.<\/p>\n

In order to focus the discussion, we posed the following questions to the participants:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Is de-globalization a temporary phenomenon, or is it a regional\/block adaptation of globalization that we met<\/li>\n
  2. In view of the consequences arising from Israel’s dire and political situation as an “island state”, what are the barriers and what the strategy required to strengthen industrial, economic and social resilience? (What is essential for existence? What is essential For development and growth? etc.)<\/li>\n
  3. What are the opportunities created and what are the steps and strategy required to maintain and strengthen the position of Israel among the countries of the world?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The discussion took place at the Shmuel Neman institution on July 10 2024 and this report summarize the recommendations<\/p>\n

    The global changes have led us to re-look at the need for a new national industrial policy, as has been done in recent years in many countries, with the involvement of the state.<\/p>\n

    The following insights emerged from the discussion<\/p>\n

    Globalization does not disappear but undergoes a “redesign”<\/p>\n

    Samuel Neaman Institution, together with the participants of the round table, has the ability to lead a significant move in designing a proposal for an industrial policy – from a multi-year budget, while relying on academia, civil society organizations various professional bodies, local government bodies and while developing a constructive dialogue with government ministries.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
