The production of advanced raw materials to API is also being addressed. All of those in order to identify the role of water in the production as well as water treatment needed in regarding to water use, saving water, reuse, recycle and regulated emission to the environment.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">This is the third report in the project of reviewing water use and treatment in seven global industrial sectors.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The goal of this project is to promote business opportunities for Israeli water companies; the purpose of this work is to enhance our understanding of the role of water in the industries of interest, and identify long term business challenges.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">This work will be an important part of the infrastructure of Israel Newtech, IEICI (Israel export &amp; international cooperation institute) and the Israeli consulate of economy affairs working plan for the next few years.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">In this work we review water usage and treatment for each sector, and identify challenges that are a bottleneck for the growth of each specific sector.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">We emphesized few major sectors within the pharmaceutical industry, including : API production by chemical synthesis, fermentation process and advanced biotechnological methods as well as the production of advanced raw materials for the manufacturing of APIs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This report reviews the pharmaceutical industry with emphasis on API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) production.
