A wide global view \u2013 including economic, academic, social and other aspects \u2013 is described, with special emphasis on Israeli issues. Due to significant changes in technology, society and business \u2013 combined forces are threating the future of universities. There is a common belief that these forces could result in \u2013 significant changes and disruption in historical scale.
