Industrial requirements for bio-fabrication

As part of developing the bio-convergence field as an economic growth engine for Israel, there is great importance in collecting data concerning the industrial need for infrastructure and services. This includes information about the required equipment, the types of products for which service is required, what engineering skills are needed, expertise in design processes, and more.

The Samuel Neaman Institute for National Policy Research in collaboration with the Center for Micro and Nano Fabrication at the Technion (MNFU) examines specific needs of the Israeli industry in micro and nano fabrication for biomedical related applications.

The purpose of the research is to map the current and future needs of companies combining biology and medicine with engineering and computer science, in the infrastructure and service for fabrication at the Technion.
For example, services for microelectronic or nanotechnological devices to be applied for biological and medical purposes.
