This study aims to assess the levels of “Digital Health / eHealth Literacy” among graduates of medical schools in Israel, with a specific focus on examining the integration of digital health literacy into medical education. By evaluating the alignment between graduates’ digital health literacy, medical school curricula, and the evolving needs of the workplace, this research seeks to provide policy recommendations for enhancing digital health literacy education in medical schools.
Research objectives:
- To assess the levels of digital health literacy among medical school graduates in Israel, including their ability to access, understand, evaluate, and apply digital health information and technologies.
- To examine the extent to which digital health literacy is integrated into the curricula of medical schools in Israel, focusing on the emphasis and incorporation of digital health topics.
- To identify factors that influence the integration of digital health literacy into medical school curricula, including institutional policies, resource availability, and educational priorities.
- To explore the perceptions and attitudes of key stakeholders regarding digital health literacy education in medical schools, including faculty members, students, healthcare professionals, and policymakers.
- To provide evidence-based policy recommendations aimed at improving digital health literacy education in medical schools in Israel, with the goal of better preparing future healthcare professionals for the digital health services landscape.
