Dr. Helly Hirsh, a postdoctoral researcher at the Neaman Institute, earned her bachelor’s degree in Community Social Work from the Hebrew University and an MSc and PhD in Urban and Regional Planning from Technion. During her studies, her research centered on eviction and displacement processes, as well as the psychological and social implications of forced displacement. Over the past three years, Hirsh has dedicated her efforts to practicing, researching, and advocating for various planning policy issues, with a focus on adapting these policies to Arab towns and cities in Israel. Additionally, Hirsh teaches at Technion.
