About

Prof. Ezri Tarazi is Chair of the Industrial Design Program at the Technion Faculty of Architecture and Town Planning. He is also the head of t-Hub, the Technion center for innovation and entrepreneurship, and chair of the Design-Tech Lab, which seeks to cultivate design awareness and thinking among science and engineering students. Tarazi’s work seeks to apply design thinking to solve industrial challenges. He has developed and designed life support systems, including nuclear, biological, and chemical masks for children, and cooling-vest systems for tank crews. He has worked with numerous technology startups, focusing on areas such as solar energy, sustainable design, and digital ink for billboards. Tarazi has also served as a consultant to the Israeli government on innovation programs in the industry for 20 years. He received the Design Award from the Ministry of Culture in 2002 and the Ministry of Economy in 2008 and 2010. He is a member of the Council for Higher Education and chaired the subcommittee for Humanities, Arts, Education, and Teaching from 2006 to 2016.
