About

Dr. Ayelet Glass uniquely combines academic education with extensive field experience. She built her research foundation in the field of natural sciences, published several articles in neurophysiology in scientific journals, and engaged in teaching biology.

When called upon to lead a lifestyle change initiative and privatization in her kibbutz, Palmachim, Dr. Glass made a professional transition to the fields of society and community. After approximately 15 years of managing kibbutz communities (Palmachim, Lahavot Haviva, Netiv HaLamed-Heh, and Nahal Oz), she served as the Head of the Society and Community Division in the Kibbutz Movement.

Within these frameworks, Dr. Glass specialized in identifying components of community identity as part of community resilience, with a focus on kibbutz communities. She developed tools and practices that strengthen community identity and resilience and engaged in intervention processes for community recovery and resilience following trauma.

Dr. Glass is a member of the Resilience Research Forum at the Samuel Neaman Institute.
