About

Dr. Avigdor Zonnenshain is a Senior Research Fellow at the Neaman Institute for National Policy Research and the Gordon Center for Systems Engineering at Technion. He held key positions in quality, reliability, project management and systems engineering at Rafael. He also headed the Center for Quality and Excellence in the Prime Minister’s Office. At the Gordon Center, Zonnenshain pioneers research in advanced methodologies and practices in systems engineering, implementing these practices within leading companies. He coordinates the Center’s annual seminars showcasing innovative and leading topics in systems engineering. At the Neaman Institute he is leading research projects on challenges such as the economic development of Israel’s peripheral areas, and engineering education for the 21^stcentury. He was also Chairman of the Standardization Committee for Management and Quality at the Israel Standards Institute, where he introduced advanced international standards for quality, safety, sustainability, and social responsibility in Israeli industries. A dedicated member of the international and national societies INCOSE and INCOSE IL (former president), Zonnenshain was honored as a Fellow of INCOSE in 2010, “for advancing systems engineering practice, principles, research and activities within Israel and the worldwide community.”
