About

Avida Shoham holds BSc and MSc degrees in life sciences and has extensive experience in the industry. His current research focuses on science, technology and innovation policy for the life science and biomedical fields. In recent years, his research has centered on human capital requirements for the health and life-science fields, including mapping necessary skills for the industry, and tracking career paths of MD-PhD graduates in Israel. In addition, Shoham carries out research on national programs for developing the field of life sciences and and breakthrough research in the biomedical industry in various countries. Shoham was involved in evaluating a leading academic program for Precision Medicine (IPMP), gaining experience in assessing grant models to promote cutting-edge academic research. Prior to joining the Neaman Institute, he worked at Omrix Pharmaceuticals and at Bioforum Regulatory Services, where he was involved in managing large scale clinical data for FDA submissions of innovative medications.
