This research was invited by the Russell Berrie Nanotechnology Institute (RBNI) in order to increase the collaboration between the industry and the Technion’s nanotechnology Infrastructure centers.
The research includes a comprehensive survey of industrial companies that have used the Technion’s nanotechnology Infrastructure centers and industrial companies in the nanotechnology fields and other fields that can potentially use the Technion’s nanotechnology Infrastructure centers.
The survey goal was to analyze the industry needs regarding the use of the Technion’s nanotechnology Infrastructure centers according to the following criteria: םםפקרשאןםמto the following creteria:ustry needs
and the RBNInotechnology in order collaboration features, comparison to collaboration between the industry and other nanotechnology centers in Israel and abroad, level of satisfaction among industrial companies that have used the nanotechnology infrastructures, expected improvements and further channels of possible collaboration.
The research includes a literature review of the following subjects: models of collaboration between the academy and industry in the field of nanotechnology and other fields; needs and obstacles in promoting industry-academia collaboration; national and local initiatives aimed to foster industry – academia collaboration.
In addition, the research includes recommendations regarding ways to improve and strengthen the collaboration between the industry and the Technion’s nanotechnology Infrastructures centers.
