Merav holds a B.Sc. in Chemistry from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, an M.A. in Environmental Resources Management from the University of Haifa, and a Ph.D. from the Faculty of Architecture and Town Planning at the Technion.
During her Ph.D., Merav focused on runoff management and developed decision-making methods for the optimal placement of nature-based solutions using hydrological modeling and multi-objective optimization. She is particularly interested in interdisciplinary approaches to addressing complex environmental challenges, especially those related to natural resource management and sustainability.
Merav has extensive experience in academic teaching and science education. She served as a teaching assistant at the Technion and the University of Haifa in courses on economics and statistics and worked as an educator at the MadaTech Science Museum, where she led guided tours and laboratory activities for diverse audiences.
