About

Adam Shwartz jointed the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering in 1984, and researched stochastic processes-especially Markov Decision Processes and Asymptotic Methods, with applications. He was Associate Editor and Area Editor in several leading journals. Published papers, a research monograph, two Collections of Articles and teaching material. Since 2021 Adam is Prof. Emeritus, and the Academic Director of the Industrial Liaison Program at ECE. Adam is currently a Senior Research Fellow at the Samuel Neaman Institute, where his interests are Academic Technological Education in the long term.

At the Technion Adam served as Vice Dean of Undergraduate Studies (1998-2002), Deputy CEO for Information Systems (2000-2009), Dean of ECE (2009-2013), member of the Founding Team and the Director of the Jacobs Technion-Cornell Institute (2004-2006), Senior Executive Vice President (2016-2019) and Head of the VERA Rector Forum (2018-2019).

Adam is married to Shoulamit (Shuli) and they have 3 children. His hobbies including music, hiking and table tennis.
