Housing, transportation, land and planning team: living space policy for social justice, the Interim Report

21 September, 2011

The following document is based on the vision and dream of the protest to bring social justice to the Israeli society, and translate them into principles and actions. The protest broke out against the backdrop of the sharp rise in housing prices, especially in the center of Israel. The center and periphery distress worsened due to lack of reasonable access to public transport. At the base of housing and transportation crisis is a discriminatory and wasteful land-management policy and a failing planning policy- therefore, our document deals with all four topics: housing, transportation, land and planning. These issues, interlocking, contribute to the entire protest spatial dimension. The results of the spatial process reflect on the physical and human landscape for long terms, and even have a decisively influence on future generations.
