The encounter between shared, electric and autonomous will set us free from the traffic jams

08 April, 2018

Israelis vote with their wheels. More than two-thirds of us travel daily to work in the private car, sustainting unbearable and ever-increasing costs of time, money, and mental stress. Even the latest reform in public travel tariffs will not change this destructive pattern. The great absurdity is that both private car users and public transport passengers do so with no other choice. It is even more absurd that even a further increase in investment in infrastructure will not change this. So what can be done? The transportation sector is destined to undergo profound changes as a result of the culmination of three global mega-trends: shared economy, electric mobility and autonomous control.
