A roundtable on cultural resilience was held at the Neaman Institute for National Policy Research on February 24th, 2020. Experts from diverse disciplines were invited to discuss and analyze the subject from various aspects. The roundtable served as a framework for brainstorming on the concept of cultural resilience, its definition and the meanings embedded in it vis-à-vis both natural and man-made disruptions.

In the first part of the discussion, the participants examined two concepts: culture and resilience. In the second part, the participants addressed some more narrowly defined issues, including: ethical code, national culture and values as an example of resilience components; multiculturalism; resilience and borders; the role of the state in enhancing cultural resilience; the role of religion and ethics.
