Prof. Ofira Ayalon and Dr. Tzipi Eshet presented their research on food losses in the agricultural sector during the  International Food Day in the Knesset. The study is conducted at Samuel Neaman Institute and the University of Haifa in collaboration with Leket Israel.

On Saturday, 8.11.2014,  the TV program "The Globe" on channel 1 (Oren Nahari and David Witzthum) dealt with the phenomena of  generation Y.

Dr. Tamar Almog, who is about to complete a comprehensive study on the Israeli generation Y together with Prof. Oz Almog, was the guest in the program.

The research is sponsored by the Samuel Neaman Institute.

"65 hazardous sabstances events in the last two years in the Haifa bay is too many"

"65 hazardous sabstances events in the last two years in the Haifa bay is too many". This is what was said by the chairman of the subcommittee for the issues of environment and the Haifa bay development, Knesset member Dov Hanin, at a hearing held today (Thursday) at the Samuel Neaman Institute at the Technion in which he introduced the troubling data which the committee found and stated that "We must not accept this reality".

A Model for Environmental Behavior

100 shades of Green is a new initiative by Maariv, which rated the most influential "green" people and organizations in Israel. Prof. Ofira Ayalon, head of environment cluster at SNI and a professor at Haifa University, was elected. Prof. Ayalon is a co-author of reports for the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Infrastructure and other government agencies, and has published many articles in the popular and professional media.
