<p>Prof. Avi Weiss is currently the Chairman of the Department of Economics in Bar-Ilan University. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from the Universtiy of Chicago in 1987. He has served as chief economist and deputy general director of the Israel Antitrust Authority, a member of the antidumping committee of the Trade Ministry, and chairman of Bank Hapoalim's P.K.N. trust funds investment committee. His research interests are in Antitrust, Industrial Organization, Labor Economics, Migration, and Experimental Economics.</p>
